Personal

Through his introspection, he highlighted a number of stories that did not come out in his original application that highlighted his commitment to energy saving and continually pushing for the greater good, even in his consulting role. He had started a green initiative within his office, had attended a renewable energy conference and was able to this back to experiences in undergrad. Through these experiences, he was able to show that his interest in energy had been working alongside his career and wasn’t an unexpected change.

Fairly traditional American upbringing in the Midwest.  No significant personal challenges or extraordinary family circumstances.

Overview

Our client had 3 years of increasing responsibility at a consulting firm. Throughout his time in consulting, he had a wide range of functional and industry experience. As an engineering major, he had spent time studying energy and after a couple years of consulting wanted to re-direct his career in that direction.  In his first application, pre-Stratus, he did a good job of showing who he was, but didn’t tie together his history of energy and giving back to his hopeful career shift.

Result

Admitted to Kellogg, Booth and Haas.
