A little more in-depth:

What I like most about being a Stratus Consultant:

The personal relationships that develop through the admissions consulting process. Everyone has their own story and I truly enjoy when clients open up about their experiences and trust the strategy and application development that is devised on their behalf. Actualizing clients’ academic pursuits to their institution of choice is quite rewarding, but when clients learn new attributes about themselves and key behaviors to instill at the next level to be successful, that brings contentment.

One piece of advice I would share with someone who is applying to college or graduate school:

I encourage clients to be systematic with their approach. They should evaluate their own strengths and weaknesses objectively so they can identify programs that are challenging, yet also complementary to their interests and professional development. It is important that they find a place where they can both academically and socially flourish.

Highlight or greatest accomplishment while working with Stratus:

Adapting to the various needs of clients with tight constraints and mapping career planning for clients returning to school after years of exploration. Helping these clients be at ease and find their academic direction to bring ‘touch’ to the process and maximize their contributions has been a high point. Developing a comfortable, collaborative environment to develop the substantiated narrative that has led to repeated acceptance to top programs, however, is the highlight.

3 Random Facts:

– I do triathlons, but never train for the swim.
– I grew up skiing since the age of four.
– I am easily excitable.
